A few days ago, we set up a project through the Open Science Foundation’s system (we are not affiliated with the OSF). The project will include various pieces of information, including a Wiki, on how to go about doing scientific research.
The major differences between the way research is currently done, and the suggestions in this project, are based around concepts from project management and design thinking. These proposals include a better understanding of the philosophy of science, and incorporating that understanding into the words we choose in our discussions, as well as the inclusion of cost analyses and risk-benefit analyses. Details can be found on the OSF project page here.
